"Our men's ministry aims to empower men to lead purposefully, strengthen their faith, and build authentic relationships that transform their lives and communities. In the 21st century, American men face unique challenges, from dealing with their upbringing to dealing with their work environment, leading in their homes, and fighting off the temptation to go with the flow in our pervasive culture. These challenges can affect a man’s identity, relationships, purpose, and vision, ultimately eroding God’s design for him and his place in the home. We want to come alongside men as they pursue their faith in Jesus. Provide opportunities to deepen their relationship with other men, learn to follow Jesus, and equip men to keep Jesus at the center of their lives."

Discipleship Challenge:

Discipleship is not learned in a classroom. It is applied to the experiences of our everyday life. We are learning together, working out our faith in our everyday life. We are engaging in discipleship relationships on a regular basis in seasonal commitments and year-long journeys.

- Our seasonal men's groups get together weekly, read a scripture, memorize a verse, share our devotions, and pray for one another. There is something special that happens when we make the commitment to gather and keep each other accountable.

- Our one-year transformational challenge-based program is called the “Man Year”, with four twelve-week sprints surrounding the core domains of life–spiritual, mental, physical, and emotional–that you do with brothers of your choosing in your community.

Men’s Retreats:

The purpose of our annual men's retreat is to ignite the hearts of men for God, challenge them to grow in their faith, build lasting bonds of brotherhood, and equip them to lead with strength, integrity, and purpose in every area of their lives. There are three key ways we focus our time on our retreats that allows us the time and space to grow deeper as a community of men at Verge.

Spiritual Renewal: Providing an immersive environment for men to connect deeply with God, through worship, prayer, and Scripture reading.

Brotherhood and Community: Fostering strong, lasting relationships where men can support, encourage, and hold each other accountable in their spiritual journey.

Adventure and Challenge: Combining moments of adventure, physical challenge, and outdoor activities to foster unity, growth, and personal reflection.

Men’s Events:

Every man who engages in the men's ministry will feel supported, challenged, and equipped to live out God’s calling in every area of their life. From their faith to their families, workplaces, and communities, we want men to confidently step into the leadership role that God has designed for them, knowing they are backed by a brotherhood that supports and encourages them. Events give us the right opportunity to keep investing in the relationships that are important to us as we grow in our faith. It does not matter what the event is: “Top Golf” day, Saturday breakfast, pizza game night, or axe throwing. We are just creating an opportunity for us to get together and follow Jesus' call to “love one another.”
